Our Services
Our Services
At Amity House, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Our services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, outreach client services, housing assistance programs, support groups and counseling, and community outreach and education. Each of these services is designed to empower survivors, promote healing, and foster a community free from violence. Below, you will find detailed information about each of our programs and how they can assist you or your loved ones on the journey to safety and recovery.
24-Hour Crisis Hotline
If you and your children are in immediate danger,
CALL 911
Law enforcement can assist you in reaching us for help. If you are a domestic violence victim in need of a safe and confidential place to stay, we encourage you to contact us. Your safety is our highest priority.
Emergency Shelter
Amity House provides safety, shelter, and comprehensive support to victims of domestic violence and their children in a secure, home-like environment. Services include emergency shelter, 24/7 crisis intervention, and victim advocacy to ensure immediate assistance and protection. Additional resources—such as crime victim compensation, safety planning, employment assistance, financial management, parenting support, and specialized children’s services—are offered to help individuals regain stability and independence.
Housing Assistance Programs
Our housing assistance program provides individualized case management and financial support to help survivors establish safe and stable housing free from domestic violence. Services include safety planning, deposit assistance for utilities and rent, and support with the first month’s rent. For qualifying clients, we offer additional rental assistance, credit remediation, and relocation assistance to ensure a secure and sustainable transition to independent living.
Outreach Client Services
Outreach client services offer support to individuals who have experienced domestic violence but do not require emergency shelter. These services are designed to meet their needs while helping them stay safe and supported in the community. Support may include crisis intervention, safety planning, legal advocacy, counseling referrals, assistance with protective orders, and referrals to other community resources. By providing flexible, trauma-informed care, outreach services empower survivors to rebuild their lives, maintain stability, and work toward long-term healing—all while remaining in their own homes or with trusted support networks.
Community Outreach & Education
Amity House works to prevent domestic violence through education, outreach, and community engagement. We provide awareness training, Safe Dates programming, and Survive and Thrive education for victims. Our initiatives include workshops, health fairs, and prevention education for schools and community groups. Volunteer and internship opportunities are also available. Invite us to your organization to learn how you can help break the cycle of abuse.
